Subject: Application Due TOMORROW: 26-27 ONDAS/Transfer Student Center Peer Mentor Application — Please share widely!

Dear Campus Partners,

I hope this email finds you well! The ONDAS Student Center and Transfer Student Center (TSC) Peer Mentor application CLOSES TOMORROW (Jan. 30th)! We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated students to join our team and help their peers navigate UCSB, build community, and provide support in an academic and social environment.

As campus partners, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with your student communities, particularly those who are first-generation or transfer students. The Peer Mentor role is a great way for students to develop leadership skills, build connections across campus, have flexible hours that put their studies first, and positively impact their peers' experiences at UCSB.

*Please note that the Transfer Student Center and the ONDAS Student Center have a combined application. Students can apply to one or both Centers within the application.

RECRUITMENT INFO, ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, & ROLE DESCRIPTIONS:

Deadline to apply: Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST

MORE ABOUT THE CENTERS:
  • ONDAS Student Center: The ONDAS Student Center promotes the success and retention of first-generation college students with an emphasis on the first-year transition and underrepresented student experience. ONDAS provides mentoring and academic support in a learning-centered space for students to connect with faculty, staff, and peers in order to grow personally and excel academically.
  • Transfer Student Center:  The Transfer Student Center is committed to supporting the holistic success of transfer students of all intersecting identities by providing a dedicated community space, peer mentoring, transfer-specific programming, and access to various campus resources. The TSC works to ensure that every transfer student has equitable access to resources, opportunities, and experiences at UCSB.
We encourage interested students to apply! We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of Peer Mentors for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Thank you for helping us get the word out! I have attached marketing materials for both the TSC and ONDAS for easy sharing. If you have any questions, please email the following contacts:
