Dear Colleagues,

I hope your quarter is going well! I'm emailing to share information about some exciting, scholarship-supported, interdisciplinary courses we are offering this summer as part of the Arnhold Arts and Humanities Commons. While these courses are grounded in the arts and humanities, students from all majors are welcome, so please feel free to advertise them widely.

Please see below and the attached flyer for more details.

Courses Offered in Summer 2026:

Why These Courses Stand Out:

  • Build Your UCSB Community
Trade large lecture halls for engaging classroom discussions where your voice matters. Small class sizes ensure you'll get to know your professors and make new friends.

  • Project-Based, Not Test-Obsessed
Focus on collaborative projects and creative exploration instead of high-pressure exams. These courses emphasize meaningful learning experiences and expansive thinking.

  • Interdisciplinary Approach
Discover different academic approaches to topics like utopia and history writing through innovative, project-based learning that expands your thinking beyond traditional boundaries.

  • Financial Support
Exclusive scholarship opportunities are available for students enrolled in these courses—academic enrichment with financial benefits!

Thank you for helping us spread the word!

Best,
Nicole
