This foundational course explores the scientific principles behind today’s most pressing environmental challenges, including:
- Human population growth and environmental impacts
- Ecosystems and biogeochemical cycles
- Global climate systems and climate change
- Energy and the laws of thermodynamics
- Water resources and water pollution
