We are thrilled to share the McNair Scholar Program’s Newsletter!
This newsletter celebrates the accomplishments of our students this past year and contains exciting updates from our students, staff, and alumni.
Over the past year, the McNair Program has undergone several changes: we bid farewell to graduating scholars and welcomed a new cohort, experienced changes in staff, moved financial departments on campus, and navigated financial uncertainty due to ongoing changes in the Department of Education. But one thing that hasn’t changed is our program’s commitment to supporting undergraduate students as they conduct research under the guidance of a faculty mentor, providing opportunities for students to gain professional skills, and preparing them for graduate school.
As we look towards the future, we are dedicated to ensuring the McNair Program’s longevity at UCSB. To that end, we are deepening our relationships with campus partners and actively seeking donor opportunities.
