Hi everyone!

The History department is offering a special topics upper division course this Fall 2025. This course is open to all majors. If you could please share the attached information and flyer that would be great!

Number: HIST 197SS
Title: Race and Gender in 20th-century US and the World
Description: This course considers the influence of race, gender, and sexuality in twentieth-century US history. We will examine how these categories have operated as ideas, identities, and unifying causes propelling historical developments and structures such as U.S. American Empire, law and order, surveillance, and the gendering and racialization of space.

Thanks!
Kiara
