About the GloCal Health Fellowship - Apply by September 15th!

The GloCal Health Fellowship is a 12-month, mentored research fellowship that provides aspiring global health researchers with outstanding interdisciplinary education and training in innovative research designed to improve health for populations around the world. Sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fogarty International Center (FIC) and the UC Global Health Institute, the GloCal Health Fellowship supports awarded fellows from all 10 UC campuses as well as 29 affiliated sites across 22 countries.

You are eligible if you are a:
- Low- and middle-income country (LMIC) Postdoctoral Fellow (MD, MBChB, DDS, DVM, PharmD, PhD, etc.) with one of the 29 GloCal affiliated sites
- U.S. Postdoctoral Fellow (MD, PhD, DDS, DVM, PharmD, etc.)
- University of California Advanced Doctoral Student (PhD, DrPH, etc.)
- University of California Professional Student (MD, DDS, DVM, etc.)
Types of Support:
- 12 consecutive months of stipend support
- Research funding ($15,000)
- Travel costs to and from the LMIC site
- Support for online courses
- A week-long orientation in Washington, D.C.

The GloCal Health Fellowship Program includes more than 300 top-tier global health research faculty mentors from the four UC GloCal Consortium campuses (UCSF, UC San Diego, UCLA, UC Davis) and the 29 affiliated LMIC institutions.
GloCal program faculty span a variety of disciplines including: anthropology, biology, chemistry, dentistry, economics, bioengineering, ethics, geography, law, medicine, molecular biology, nursing, oceanography, physics, political science, public health, sociology, statistics & biostatistics, and psychology.
