ABOUT THE POSITION:
A Sustainability Support Staff Member will work with the General Manager and Public Works & Sustainability Director to execute the IVCSD Board of Directors directions and the provision of Community Services District (CSD) services for the Public Works & Sustainability Department. This position plays a major role in the day to day operations and delivery of CSD Public Works & Sustainability Department services. This position aids and supports the Public Works & Sustainability Director in the execution of the policies set by the elected Board of Directors.
Sustainability Support Staff Members will assist the Public Works & Sustainability Director on a variety of tasks and projects ranging from identifying and documenting areas in Isla Vista that need beautifying, participating in hands-on beautification and waste reduction processes, constituent outreach to promote IVCSD Public Works and Sustainability programs and maintaining program organization.Ā

As an Office Assistant, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge of the policies and activities of Associated Students.Ā In addition, you will gain experience in administrative office skills, such as processing requisitions, financial tracking, data entry, filing and email.

Recreational Events Assistant ($16.50/hr.)
Job Description: Our Events team hosts and staffs 120+ events a year on our athletic fields and facilities. These events include on-campus student organization and department events, external facility rentals, and Recreation special events such as the Rec Fest and the Turkey Trot. Our team's main priority is to manage risk and ensure that events run smoothly. Student staff responsibilities include set up and tear down of equipment, procuring waivers, responding to and documenting injuries, upholding department and campus policies, and providing excellent customer service. Our goal is to provide participants with a safe and enjoyable experience! Those who work with the Events Team are required to be available on the weekends, including early mornings and late nights. Staff typically work 5 to 10 hours per week. This position will have training hours and shadow shifts throughout the entirety of fall quarter to prepare for full staff responsibilities during the rest of the 2025-2026 school year.Ā
PLEASE NOTE: Shifts are primarily scheduled on weekends!!!
