🔧 Basic Needs Tech Support Program
The Basic Needs Technology Program provides currently enrolled UCSB students in a degree-seeking program with access to tech resources to support their academic journey.
To be considered, students must submit a Basic Needs Tech Request Form.
Once submitted, request forms are reviewed by our tech team, and students can expect a response within 2–3 business days.
💻 Loaner Laptops (All Students)
Short-term Chromebook loans are available for all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.

Parenting Students: Get Support for Childcare expenses!
The new Basic Needs Childcare Grant is available to help parenting students, either Graduate or Undergraduate, cover childcare costs during their enrollment at UCSB. You could receive up to $1,000 per quarter (or $3,000 for the academic year) based on your childcare expenses.
If you’ve submitted a 25-26 FAFSA or CADAA, you're automatically considered for the Basic Needs Childcare Grant— no extra forms needed!
Not eligible to submit a FAFSA or CADAA? No worries! Simply apply through our quick Google Form. We will work with Financial Aid to determine your eligibility. Don’t miss out—apply now to be considered for childcare expenses support!

The Services Desk in the Paseo is a combined Reference and Access Services point in the Library where patrons can request or check out materials from Course Reserves, the Main Library, Interlibrary Loan, and various other off-campus locations.
