Subject: Invitation to Unite to Light’s Illuminating Impact Symposium on May 15
Hi all,
I hope you’re doing well! Most of you know me as a student, but today I wanted to reach out because I’m helping host an event on campus this Friday, May 15, through my work with Unite to Light (UTL). UTL is a local Santa Barbara nonprofit focused on expanding equitable access to renewable light and power sources around the world.
The event, Illuminating Impact Symposium: International Day of Light 2026, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will bring together more than 20 speakers from across the country who are leading innovation and impact in renewable energy, sustainability, global health, and technology. The symposium convenes leaders in clean energy, global health, and innovation to advance light and power worldwide.
I would love to invite you to attend as a representative of UCSB, and I also encourage you to share the opportunity with any students who may be interested. Attendance is completely free, and lunch will be provided following the program. While students are welcome to attend any portion of the event, we encourage them to stay for the full symposium experience if possible. Feel free to copy this email and share it with students who may be interested.
We have a limited number of tickets available, but I especially wanted to extend this invitation to UCSB faculty and students who may find the conversations valuable and inspiring.
