Reminder: EHLS Scholarship Program for Native Speakers of Critical Languages
Native speakers of critical languages are in high demand in the US government. EHLS trains candidates to be effective communicators and strong candidates for federal jobs. All EHLS participants receive a full scholarship from the National Security Education Program that includes tuition and a living stipend. Applicants must be US Citizens who are native speakers of Arabic, Azerbaijani, Balochi, Bambara, Dari, Hausa, Hindi, Kazakh, Korean, Kurdish, Kyrgyz, Mandarin Chinese, Pashto, Persian Farsi, Punjabi, Russian, Somali, Tajik, Tamashek, Thai, Turkish, Urdu, Uzbek, or Vietnamese with English language skills at level 2 or higher on the ILR scale. Café Bustelo® El Café del Futuro Scholarship
The El Café del Futuro Scholarship awards $5,000 scholarships to students of all majors who are enrolled full-time at a HACU-member institution, are 18 years old or older, of Hispanic/Latino descent and U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents. To enter, students must complete the online application located on the HACU website and write an essay in English or Spanish. Deadline June 30, 2024 https://www.hacu.net/hacu/Scholarships.asp


Reminder: Call for Proposals: Transatlantic Mobility Program
The Transatlantic Mobility Program aims at increasing Franco-American student mobility by supporting American and French Higher Education Institutions in developing study-abroad opportunities. Eligible institutions can receive a grant of up to $20,000 to expand and diversify study-abroad programs on both sides of the Atlantic. Proposals will be evaluated on how projects can effectively and concretely encourage the greatest number of students to participate in a study-abroad program. Call for Papers: Undergraduate Journal of Global Citizenship
The Undergraduate Journal of Global Citizenship of Fairfield University welcomes undergraduate submissions on diverse topics such as global awareness, interdependence, environmental responsibility, social justice, humanitarianism, and other themes that promote the understanding of global citizenship. Submissions must have been written during enrollment in an undergraduate studies program, but may be submitted within one year to the date after receiving a bachelor's degree.  Deadline: October 1, 2024. https://digitalcommons.fairfield.edu/jogc/


NRO Paid Summer 2025 Student Internship Program
The National Reconnaissance Office Student Internship Program provides students with paid opportunities to work at the NRO and explore career paths related to their academic field of study or career interests. The NRO provides intelligence to the US federal government by designing, building, launching, operating, and analyzing reconnaissance satellite information. Each intern will be given a project to complete that aligns with their experience and education. Candidates must be a US citizen (interns may not hold dual citizenship), able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, have 3.2+ GPA, be currently enrolled, and pass drug testing and polygraph examinations. Interns must be located near Chantilly, VA or Fort Belvoir, VA for the duration of the 10-week summer program from June – August. Deadline: October 15, 2024
