Ready to gear up for the fall?
Join CARE's Open House!

Connect with the survivor services colleagues you’ll be working collaboratively with and referring students to this year.

Tour the space and enjoy free coffee and donuts (vegan options available)!

Mug swap! Bring a new/ gently used but clean mug and swap it for another one to enjoy your coffee and support sustainability!

Peer Education Network Training 

The Student Engagement & Leadership (SEAL) has created an exciting and informative event designed to introduce students to the key figures in UCSB's Student Affairs division, as well as the vital resources provided by CARE and QT-ies!

This session aims to foster connections, provide valuable insights, and highlight essential support services available to the UCSB community.

The event will cover the following areas:
 Divisional Leadership in Student Affairs
CARE (Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education
QT-ies (Queer Trans Identities Empowering Students)

When? Wednesday, September 18, 10:00 A.M.- 2:30 P.M.

Human Trafficking Awareness/Response Training

SB ACT provides human trafficking awareness education Countywide. Vulnerable communities are disproportionately impacted by trafficking, so SB ACT would love to train all those who work with various vulnerable populations countywide so they can identify trafficking victims and provide a trauma-informed response. This training is free and will be hosted on zoom.

When? Wednesday, September 18, 11:00 A.M.

Where? In the courtyard of the Student Affairs and Administrative Services Building (SAASB)
Who will be there? Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Office of the Registrar, BARC, Basic Needs, Student Health, and more!




 
CalFresh Enrollment Party! 🥑

Are you interested in applying for CalFresh & would like some help with the application? Our CalFresh & Basic Needs Advocates can help you determine if you are eligible, talk you through the application process, & assist you along the way if you run into any challenges.

Thursday, October 3 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
Where? SRB in the MPR (Multipurpose Room) on the 1st floor (to the left)

To meet with a Calfresh Advocate in-person, visit the Food Security and Basic Needs Advising Center (walk-ins only) inside of the UCEN (left side).  

To meet with a Calfresh Advocate virtually, book an appointment through Shoreline at www.basicneeds.ucsb.edu, just scroll down on the homepage to find the different appointment options.
