Writing 20: The Gabler Professional Writing Seminar

We are seeking a cohort of 20 ambitious students for a transformative experience this Spring: Writing 20: The Gabler Professional Writing Seminar.

This is not a traditional writing class. It is a high-level incubator designed to equip students with the "Executive Habits of Mind" used by world-class leaders and decision-makers. Based on proven principles of organizational excellence, management and professional writing, this course moves beyond "basic skills" to focus on effectiveness, strategic communication, and leadership.

The course offers:

  • Executive Mentorship: Students will work directly with Dr. Paul Rogers and many guest experts representing different industries and areas of expertise.

  • Professional Identity: Participants will build a high-stakes "Capstone Portfolio," including a resume that functions as a strategic argument and an "Executive North Star" for their career.

  • Excellence Awards: To honor the professional quality of student work, we are awarding $7,000 in Gabler Excellence Awards at the end of the quarter.

  • Exclusive Support: Students will have the opportunity to work with two embedded tutors from the Professional Writing Minor for one-on-one coaching.

Priority Enrollment: We are prioritizing First-Generation students, Promise Scholars, and ACE Scholars. This is a 5-credit elective (ILP 4107).

If you are interested in leadership and professional writing, this course is a special opportunity to take your knowledge and skills to the next level.

All the best,
Paul
