The UCSB Library is looking for a motivated, service-oriented student to assist with the Libraryās exhibitions and events and to act as a student ambassador on campus. The position is part of the Libraryās External Relations Department and will work closely with External Relations staff, Library employees in other departments, and campus partners to provide support for the implementation of a dynamic, fast-paced calendar of Library public programming, including exhibitions, the Libraryās signature UCSB Reads program, faculty talks, exhibition openings, receptions, award ceremonies, and workshops. The student assistantās primary responsibilities are to work at events, including some nights and weekends; promote events and exhibitions to diverse campus and community audiences; and support outreach and engagement efforts across various platforms. The position is ideal for someone who is adaptable with strong leadership and communication skills, an outgoing personality, and a desire to contribute to the UCSB community.
