Dear All,

Hope all is going great with you! Summer is our busy time, but my team rocks it out. Please let us know if you need anything.

Whether you have students who are either far along in their graduate school thinking or just beginning, invite them to join us on July 25 for our Online Graduate School Fair! We'll have 30+ top schools of international affairs and policy online to build relationships and answer their questions. Details below and we're happy to send promotional content.

I can't cook, but I love to eat. Delish has 50 Easy Desserts To Celebrate The 4th. Some of these might even be my speed!

Thanks!

Carmen

Upcoming APSIA Events for Students

Throughout the year, APSIA hosts a number of free events for your students:

Remote, Paid Fall Internships with the Fund for Peace
If you have students with an interest in peacebuilding, security, and human rights, invite them to apply for the remote, paid internships with the Fund for Peace. The Fund for Peace offers full-time and part-time remote internships every semester. Interns at FFP are given significant responsibility and are provided with practical experience in the international relations field, with excellent work experience and exposure to international and NGO communities. Internships vary in duration and are flexible to fit in with study. Interns are given significant responsibility to manage their own projects and conduct their own research. Deadline for Fall: July 15, 2024  https://fundforpeace.org/internships/

CBCF Walmart Emerging Leaders Internship for Fal 2024
The semester-long Emerging Leaders Internship Program (administered by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and sponsored by Walmart) creates a corps of trained, young leaders with the skills, outlook, and contacts necessary to generate and sustain positive change. This program will take place in person from August 26-December 13, 2024. Interns receive housing, a $4000 stipend (paid biweekly in increments of $500). Interns will be placed in various congressional offices, committees, subcommittees, or federal agencies. This program is offered during the fall and spring semesters. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, be at least a college senior by the program start date, have a permit to work in the US, and have a demonstrated interest in public service, governance, and the policy-making process. Deadline: July 22, 2024 https://cbcfinc.academicworks.com/opportunities/1504

Hurford Youth Fellowship for 2025
The Hurford Youth Fellowship Program seeks to build the leadership skills and harness the potential of young democracy activists from around the world. Young activists spend three months at the World Movement’s Secretariat, during which they engage in strategic meetings; conduct research; and organize and lead presentations, online discussions, and information-sharing sessions on key democracy issues. Upon the successful completion of each fellowship, fellows serve as a regional/country focal point, working with the Hurford Youth Fellowship Alumni Network to remain involved and take the lead in World Youth Movement activities. Open to many citizenships. Deadline: July 31, 2024 https://www.movedemocracy.org/strengthening-democratic-leadership/hurford-youth-fellowship

Virtual Volunteer Opportunity with MapGive
