Explore the interrelations among intention, action, and attention. We will begin with classic work by mid-twentieth-century philosophers of action and papers by the instructor. The course will conclude with a study of Wayne Wu's recent, highly significant book, Movements of the Mind, which connects classical philosophy to modern cognitive science.
