Subject Line: Learn First Year Korean Online This Summer!
We are offering online Korean language courses (Korean 1, 2, and 3) designed to provide a flexible, engaging, and academically rigorous introduction to the Korean language and culture.
This course sequence was developed with support from an Online Course Development Grant by UCSB summer sessions, ensuring a thoughtfully designed curriculum that maximizes student engagement and learning outcomes in an online environment.
These courses are especially ideal for students at campuses where Korean language instruction is not currently available. Through a combination of live Zoom sessions and asynchronous learning, students can build strong foundational skills while maintaining flexibility in their summer schedules.
Key features of the program:
- Interactive live classes (Monday–Thursday)
- Flexible asynchronous learning (custom Hangul learning app, video lessons, quizzes)
- Opportunities for partner and group practice
- Supportive, structured environment for beginners through intermediate learners
