Hiring for a Rapid Rehousing Outreach and Marketing Coordinator!
Job#10022967 (in UCSB Handshake)
The Outreach and Marketing Coordinator for the Rapid Rehousing Programs will help to raise awareness of the programs that UCSB and the local community offer to help support low income students, especially those experiencing housing insecurity. This position will work closely with the Food Security and Basic Needs Communications Team and outreach leads for other basic needs services on the campus. The work will include in-person outreach, developing promotional materials, social media engagement, website content management, and more. The types of resources this program will be promoting include those found on this page. All promotions made highlighting partners or external resources will be made after consultation from and approval by said partners.
Minimum Requirements:
- Energetic and outgoing
- Savvy with social media, willing to use social media for this internship, and be involved in videos/content creation
- Comfortable giving presentations to large groups of people
- Comfortable tabling
- Have strong writing skills
- Have creative marketing ideas
- Thoughtful and empathetic in the way in which they engage others
- Experienced in cross cultural communication
- Open to learning canva and video editing (or skills in doing so)
- Must be available for in person meetings
- Must be available to table and attend evening and weekend outreach events (exact timing will vary by week)
