Greetings!
My name is Vanessa Manakova, an upcoming 4th year majoring in History & Global Studies. After working with several advocacy organizations this summer and seeing how many students feel disconnected from how government actually works, I was inspired to launch a new student organization at UCSB called CivicRoots.
Our mission is to increase civic education among K–12 and college students by helping them understand how government works at the local, state, and federal levels. We’re looking for students to help launch our leadership team for 2025–20255.
