Dear Advisor Meghan Zero,
First, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Elliott Yoo and I am a student Executive Committee member of the 17th Korea-America Student Conference (KASC).
KASC held its first annual conference in 2008. It is one of three programs under our parent organization International Student Organization (ISC), which is located in Washington D.C. Our oldest program, JASC (Japan-America Student Conference), dates back to 1934, while ChASC (China-America Student Conference) is our newest program that was added in 2021.
On behalf of the Executive Committee for the 17th KASC, I'd like to share an opportunity with any students who may be interested in our upcoming academic and cultural interchange program, taking place late-June to early July 2024. Within our conference, students hear from distinguished speakers on current global topics, learn and engage in critical discussions involving the ROK-U.S relationship, and participate in an array of cultural exchange and activities. KASC offers approximately a 3 week-long program which will be held in New York, Washington D.C., and Seoul.
Upcoming Information Session on December 5, 2023
To introduce KASC to any newcomers, we will be holding an information session on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 7pm EST (Eastern Standard Time). The information session will be approximately one hour and the topics we will be covering include:

During the RT discussions, delegates are expected to hold intense and critical discussions about their assigned topics, developing mutual understanding and practical solutions in the context of the ROK-U.S relationship. Finally, all delegates will conduct original, peer-reviewed research with their RT members, shared with industry experts and government officials during the conference's cumulative Final Forum event.
