Hi,

I've got Nexus 2 and Nexus 3.1 running.

Nexus2 is the main repository for the company
Nexus 3.1 is used for some special artifacts only.

How can I add the Nexus 3.1 as a proxy repository in Nexus2?

I have done this for many public repositories, but the Nexus3 does not work somehow.

In Nexus 2, the "Browse remote" tab for the proxy repo shows only "asset browser" and "component browser", but not the artifacts.

Also opening the URL with a browser shows a page with the message:

"This maven2 hosted repository is not directly browseable at this URL."

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Keep in mind that Nexus 3 is by default on a context path of (/) and the repository paths are under /repository/<reponame>

What symptoms do you have? Did you try a build? Perhaps you notice this known issue with workaround?

Browse Remote in Nexus 2 relies on the remote serving an HTML representation of the contents at the remote site. Nexus 3 does not serve an HTML view of its repository contents at the moment. This is a variation of this known issue: https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-10474

Hi Peter,

thanks for your reply. You're right - it is working.

I just didn't try a build, because I was confused about the empty "Browse remote" and "Browse index" tabs.
