Dear friends,

We are considering to move an artifact repository currently hosted behind a simple Apache server to Nexus (artifacts are fetched/pushed using curl commands)

The artifacts there are managed by a dependecy framework we developed in house (which we currently can't replace), we store some meta-data information within each artifact (a file inside the compressed tarball).

I wanted to know if there's anyway to "store" custom attributes in Nexus for artifact objects uploaded to a Raw repository, this way we could (potentially) store the metadata in Nexus and retrieve with via an API.

Any ideas? suggestions?

Thanks!
Danny

Danny,

Not currently, we had this in NXRM 2 but not yet in the NXRM 3 architecture.  It's not scheduled, but it's on our list of things we're dying to get to.  For now you'd need to store the metadata in companion files alongside the artifacts. (Some formats do this already with their ecosystem-specific metadata.)

Thanks Michael,

Any chance you'll have a ball-park ETA for when this is expected?

Danny

Not one I won't regret sharing. :)  It's not likely to be Q4.
