What is the pricing and licensing for NX3?
We're a current NX2 customer.
Will it cost to upgrade? Will it cost any additional for the docker
support - or is it part of basic commercial edition?

Docker support is part of the free Nexus Repository Manager OSS. The
commercial edition of version 3 aka Nexus Repository Manager will
also include the Docker support but be released later on.

So for now I would suggest to just install the OSS edition of version
3 as a separate server and use it for Docker and potentially npm
usage.

For pricing details for the commercial edition, please work directly
with your Sonatype sales contact.

Hi David,

As of this date there are no specific pricing or licensing changes for Nexus Repository Manager 3. For additional info or more specific questions, contact your Sonatype sales contact.

Existing customers will be able to use version 3 during their subscription. I suggest that if you want to stand up Docker or npm capabilities, you wait for Milestone 7 which is a few weeks away, as we've done some more behind the scenes work since Milestone 6.

As Manfred indicated, Docker as well as our other formats are now a part of the OSS solution. For version 3 this is currently Docker, NuGet, npm, Maven2 and what we have been calling "raw".
