the replacement for repository targets are "content selectors"

Nexus usage is at a record high, here's why we have over 100,000 active installations and growing fast! And now we've added the only 'free' private Docker registry.

Thank you. but is there some setting? since it spins for a while and then I get "server cannot be contacted" in case i try to Preview for a repository?
seems odd since i am logged into the UI of the server

format == "maven2" && ( path =~ "^/com/my_company/pl/.*" )

Nexus 3 content selectors aren't the same as repository targets, the are considerably more flexible since they use JEXL grammar.

It sounds like either the query is returning a very large result set and/or there is some sort of resource constraint on the server which is making it run slowly.  If you want us to take a look reproduce this, then generate a support zip in the administration UI under "support/support zip", and attach it to an issue in the Nexus project at https://issues.sonatype.org.

Just to close on the topic for the user group. The error was in my configuration. it is now fixed and I am able to complete the deploy to nexus.
Thanks for the help Sonatype ! and making this free version of nexus OSS available to us.
