I have the following setup.

Sonar OOS 2.14

Protocol- LDAP
hostname - correct
port - 389
search base: dc=example,dc=io

Authentication Method - simple Authentication
Username - cn=admin,dc=example,dc=io
Password - Blankedforgoodreason

Base DN - ou=people
Object class - inetOrgPerson
User ID Attribute - uid
Real Name Attribute - cn
E-Mail Attribute - mail

Check User Mapping - shows all the correct use and role mappings.

The problem is that when trying to login the user is now able to login.

The Group - nexus-admin exists in ldap.
I went to roles and added the role to have nexus administration role.

I have checked Server >Security Settings  and confirmed  OOS LDAP Authentication Realm is under the Avaiable Realms section.

"Anonymous Access has been untucked.

I have no clue why my simple ldap user won't login.
Sonar works perfectly fine. WHy does nexus have an issue!!!!!

Hello All,

We are also facing some issues while setting up our LDAP configuration for Nexus 2 OSS. so, could you please suggest us how to proceed on this configurations.

NOTE: We followed all the steps which are mentioned in Nexus Document for LDAP configurations.

Please find attached error for reference.

Thanks,
Gangadhar

Hi Gangadhar,

Your error is to do with the user mapping or group mapping not matching correctly. to help you further, can you tell me what LDAp server your using? Is it openldap like me? If so what User/Group structure are you using. IE. objectclass of your user and groups and confirm your LDAP settings like I have?

regards

John
