Course Development Grant Opportunities

The Center for the Advancement of Teaching, the Office of Civic and Community Engagement, and the Program for Leadership and Character invite you to apply for a variety of course development opportunities! Deadlines vary, so please read the requirements carefully by clicking the links below. If you have any questions, please reach out to the corresponding office.

CAT Course Design Institute

May 12-16, the CAT will host an in-person, intensive course design program for faculty interested in designing or redesigning a course. The Institute is designed to get you to a final (or near final) syllabus by the end of the week. Participants who successfully complete all Institute requirements will receive a $1,500 stipend. Apply by April 20.

ACE Fellows Program

Whether exploring social justice, sustainability, or any other perennial problem, the ACE Fellows program embodies high-impact practices of experiential learning and empowers faculty to develop reciprocal and sustainable community-centered academic work. Join a dynamic network of ACE faculty who receive $1k annually for 2 years to support community-engaged teaching and scholarship. Apply by May 15.

The Program for Leadership & Character

The Program for Leadership and Character is offering four opportunities for financial support, available to Wake Forest faculty and staff. These grants and stipends are funded by gifts from Lilly Endowment Inc. and the Kern Family Foundation, and the deadline to apply (except for co-sponsorships) is April 2
