Field Notes

After an early dinner at Tipsy Pig in Tekamah, we rushed down the highway to catch this DP before sundown. We knew it was too far from the road, but the margin of roads to actual field is often walkable and that would be close enough. Sure enough it was 103m at edge of the road, but a weedy margin and small jump led to edge of the field which did have tiny new corn plants, which we didn't touch. There was no reception here, at the edge of the Missouri River flood plain, so hopefully filling from home about an hour after getting the point (like good old days of GD V1) will work. Dededasher got some photos of our shadows showing where we walked to edge of the field.
