Checklist Comments: Just a quick stop at the lake on the way home from church. Illustration of the dumb luck aspect pf birding.
A cormorant just offshore looked very small, so we had binoculars ready; turned out DCCO. But as we watched, a sense flock of
geese swept past low over the water west to east near shore - about 80 Brant. Typical time of year and flight. Often with uglier weather
- windier from the E and rainy - at this time of the year we can have thousands pass in a morning.
