Weather:
Mostly sunny all morning with SW winds at 10-15mph and temps in the 50s. Cloud cover varied throughout the day, but it eventually completely clouded over just before the rain. Temps reached a high of 78F. Winds were SW all day at 10-20mph. A thunderstorm hit right at 3pm shutting down the flight.

Raptor Observations:
1,205 raptors passed over Braddock Bay today! Broad-winged Hawks (623), Turkey Vultures (398), and Bald Eagles (80) were the most abundant species. Sharp-shinned Hawks numbers are slowing down with only 41 on the move today. We had two species of falcon: 3 American Kestrels and 2 Peregrine Falcons. The highlight of the day was an adult Mississippi Kite seen briefly around 8:30am!!

Non-raptor Observations:
Lots of birds were on the move last night with a few new species for the year arriving. There was a Willow Flycatcher singing all morning, an Eastern Wood-Pewee flew by in the limited morning flight, and Lincolns Sparrows were foraging along the hedgerows. While there wasnt a big morning flight of warblers, there were a decent number of American Pipits, Baltimore Orioles, and Indigo Buntings flying over.
