A nice mix of winter field birds out on Perry Rd. this afternoon (east of River Rd.) - escaping the snow on the fields. A good number of Snow Bunting’s, but mixed with about a dozen Lapland Longspurs, a few Horned Larks and a number of Savannh Sparrows - these last not common here in winter (and maybe not accepted by ebird). These birds were in several groups along the road. I had a Harrier in the same area; a few Horned Larks on Dutch Corners Rd. and Juncos along River and Jones Bridge Rds. See a few pictures on ebird. Savannah Sparrows have been along Perry Rd. all winter so far.
