Weather:Cool light winds from the west to slightly north. Temps around 10 C. Count
started after the morning rain and the skies become mostly clear.
Raptor Observations:A few migrants passed through, along with the usual locals of Red-tailed
Hawk, Turkey Vulture and a Cooper's Hawk. Migrants were mostly Turkey
Vultures and a few Broad-winged Hawks and a Red-tailed Hawk.
Non-raptor Observations:Barn Swallows and American Goldfinches were close by the count site. Others
around the cemetery included a Great Blue Heron, Belted Kingfisher, a
number of the usual.
Predictions:Temps rising to 15 C with SW winds gusting to 25 KPH. Afternoon forecast of
showers, thunderstorms, and hail.

Site DescriptionThis spring only "all volunteer" watch is conducted at Lakeside Cemetery in
Hamburg, NY. It is located on flat lake plain located along the shoreline of the
east end of Lake Erie, about 10 miles south of Buffalo, NY.
