Weather:Much warmer than the last few days, but not brutally hot. The count
started out slow. Second hour brought more birds. Distant clouds forming
inland, but clear blue skies out front and overhead. Winds very light, SW
to start, but quickly turned northerly. Very clear, beautiful day.
Raptor Observations:Mostly single birds seen with a couple of small groups of 3-5. Local
osprey around, and adult bald eagle perched in snag on "eagle island".
Non-raptor Observations:Green Heron, a few cedar waxwings, swallows galore. Tiger Swallowtail
butterfly, monarchs and yellow sulphurs.
Predictions:Intervals of clouds with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. SW
winds predicted which might make for a bit of a flight.
