Weather:
It was mostly sunny overall, with lots of clear blue sky. The winds started out WSW at 10mph, shifting around to NNW at 10mph by the end of the day. The lake breeze kicked in around mid-day, so we moved inland for the afternoon. Temps ranged from 53F to 62F.

Raptor Observations:
Today was excellent, with great kettles of Broad-winged Hawks and nice raptor diversity! We saw just over 4,000 birds today, the vast majority of which were Broad-winged Hawks (3559). The count started off pretty quiet, but kettles started forming around 11:00 and increased in the afternoon. The biggest hour was 1:00-2:00, with over 1,400 birds. Turkey Vultures (302) and Sharp-shinned Hawks (117) were other major components of the flight. The morning featured a juvenile American Goshawk moving down the lakeshore, and we had excellent views of a Golden Eagle in the afternoon!

Non-raptor Observations:
Non-raptors: not much to report here todayonly a smattering of ducks are left in the bay, and not many passerines came in last night. There were more migrant Blue Jay flocks moving along the lakeshore, totaling at least 400 birds.
