This is a reminder that the GA4GH Variation Representation (VRS) subgroup meeting is happening in 1 hour:

The link for the agenda can be found here: meeting agenda. Today we will be discussing a few key topics to help advance our work on VRS. First, we’ll workshop a new “AlignedSequence” VRS concept, which aims to support mapped pairwise sequences - along with the types of variants this model could enable (such as intronic variants and others).

We’ll then review and discuss our current roadmap, including upcoming priorities like gene fusions, haplotypes, and other complex variant types, and align on next steps for development.
