Happy new year! The OpenDP team is thrilled to announce that we are hiring two positions in 2026: a Research Associate and a Senior Data Privacy Software Developer. You can read a full description of each position on our website. Here's the overview:

Research Associate

We are looking for a Research Associate to work with our collaborators and community members on applying differential privacy in building software tools for data science problems. You'll write grant applications for fundraising and outreach, write and publish research papers related to your work with OpenDP, and serve as the scientific point of contact and fulcrum with use case partners and DP subject matter experts. We'll begin reviewing applications on January 15, 2026, and we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Senior Data Privacy Software Developer

We're looking for a developer to work with our privacy researchers to understand algorithms, implement the underlying architecture, and create and document public APIs. You will also help facilitate the growth of our open-source ecosystem. Upcoming projects include integrating OpenDP with differentially private methods for training AI models and supporting use cases in industry, as well as those that enable research in public health and medicine.
