Dear Community,

We are excited that the 2025 OpenDP Community Meeting is only a couple weeks away! Co-located with the Eyes-Off Data Summit in Dublin, the Community Meeting agenda on Friday, September 19th is a full day of talks, sessions, and opportunities to network during the day and into the evening at the closing reception.

You'll hear from:
  • Federico Sanson (UNHCR) and Nitin Kohli (UC Berkeley) talking about their use case protecting their microdata library using OpenDP
  • Don Brown (Capital One), Paul Tiwald (MostlyAI), Ryan McKenna (Google), Shlomi Hod (German Federal Institute for Employment Research), and Christine Task (Knexus Research) in a panel around the challenges and future directions working with synthetic data
  • The OpenDP team - Salil Vadhan, Michael Shoemate, Sharon Ayalde - giving updates on the initiative, technical library tooling, and community strategy.
  • The Community at large in our popular Pitch Anything Sessions including Alejandro Russo (DPella), Damien Desfontaines (Hiding Nemo), Mateus Guzzo (TikTok), Georgi Ganev (SAS), Tudor Cebere (INRIA), Tina Tsou (TikTok), Sai Aparna Aketi (Meta), and Claire McKay Bowen (Urban Institute)
  • Parallel breakout sessions around working with the OpenDP library and tools with Michael Shoemate (OpenDP) and a hands on session setting epsilon with Rachel Cummings (Columbia University) and James Honaker (Mozilla and OpenDP)
  • And a special announcement on the creation of a DP Registry!
A big thanks to our sponsors for supporting our annual event - Microsoft, Oblivious, Capital One, Google, Meta, Apple, and SAS!

In person and virtual registration is still available. Please share with your mailing lists, social channels, and internal networks!

Thanks and hope to see you in Dublin!
