Dear all,
Clément Canonne (U. Sydney) and I are organising a 3-day workshop on privacy, both technical and policy aspects, to be held at the University of Sydney on Feb 13–15, 2024. The goal is to bring together the existing differential privacy (DP) community in Australia and Asia-Pacific, to inspire students and mathematical researchers in adjacent fields to start working in this area, and to foster exchanges between researchers, policymakers, and industry actors in this field.
More details will be coming soon, but at stage we would like to gauge your interest, and—hopefully—have you mark your calendars! You can already register your interest in attending, and indicate your availability, on the (nascent) workshop website:
https://sites.google.com/view/sydney-privacy-workshop-2024/home
We would also greatly appreciate it if you could advertise the workshop to your friends and colleagues who would be interested, and point them to the website.
In addition, as a resource for the Asia-Pacific privacy community, we've created a #asia-pacific channel in the
OpenDP slack to bring together the OpenDP community in that area, share relevant events, etc., similar to the #boston-area channel that we already have. We encourage anyone who is interested to join the channel, and also feel free to create or suggest other channels for local communities.
Best,
