Hello OpenDP Community:
To remind members, NIST is currently hosting the Collaborative Research Cycle (CRC). The CRC invites the public to submit deidentified instances of the NIST Diverse Community Excerpts, which we then post alongside detailed evaluation metrics. We’ve received over 450 privatized samples encompassing many techniques, both differentially private and otherwise.
We are hosting a virtual ‘Explanatory Workshop’ scheduled 18 DEC 2023. We will post registration information in November.
We are seeking 4-page research reports as Workshop contributions, and we’ve extended the deadline to 17 NOV 2023 to avoid a conflict with the PPAI deadline. Consider rerunning an experiment from TPDP, NeurIPS, or PPAI on our data and submitting that as a relatively low effort submission. Submissions are peer reviewed, and accepted submissions go into proceedings that we'll post on the CRC website. We anticipate inviting authors of especially strong submissions to contribute their papers to a NIST Special Publication as well.
The CRC is holding an office hour session 7 NOV 2023 (11AM ET).
We encourage anyone interested to discuss the CRC and related matters in the CRC channel of the OpenDP Slack.
Please, feel free to reach out to me, the program PI, or our technical lead, Christine Task of Knexus Research, with questions or concerns.
Warm regards,
