Greetings Aquaterra,
As this year comes to an end we all have an opportunity to reflect on the past year. The wonderful times we had at events while hanging out with friends and participating in activities made available to us by the dedicated volunteers of this wonderful barony
and kingdom.
We all enjoy coming together and showing up to events with our friends and as we get ready for next year we would like to invite everyone to plan on inviting yourself and your friends out to volunteer at events. Our goal for 2026 is to have a large pool of
volunteers.
Volunteers are the life force of our Barony. We have many very dedicated volunteers who are often involved in coordinating events, activities, meetings and practices. Many of these volunteers can sometimes be overlooked. We ask that you take the time to reach
out to the Coronets or the baronial officers and let them know that you have taken notice of the efforts of these volunteers. We want everyone's efforts to be recognized.
We also want to provide opportunities for individuals to donate their time and learn new skills. Coordinating events, practices and meetings can be a great way to get involved and make new friends.
We want to ask those who have ever been interested in coordinating an event to come forward and volunteer to be an event steward or to be part of an event team.
Our event schedule is ready for 2026 and we have 3 events that need event stewards and event teams.
Boar's Hunt- June 5th to June 7th, 2026.
Banner War- September 18th to September 20th, 2026.
Good Yule- December 5th, 2026.
Our goal for these upcoming events is to have an event Steward and event team at minimum of 6 months in advance of the date of the event. We have found that 6 months is the bare minimum of time needed for an event to be planned. This time frame allows for the
necessary stages of planning to be completed in a timely manner.
Event bid deadlines
Boar's Hunt - December business meeting.
Banner War - February business meeting.
Good Yule - May business meeting.
Successful events take time to be put together and to that end we ask that if you or anyone you know is interested in coordinating one of our Baronial events to submit an event bid at a Baronial business meeting 7 months prior to the scheduled event.
If we do not have an event team by the event bid deadline we will have to cancel the event.
We look forward to working with everyone in recognizing and celebrating our wonderful volunteers.
Yours in Service,
Nency Orozco
