Felicitous salutations and warm heartfelt greetings unto the populace of Aquaterra. Boar’s Hunt is rapidly coming upon us and with it, comes Champion Tournaments for Thrown Weapons, Archery and Games! We the Coronets look forward to seeing who will step forth to compete and win the title of Aquaterra Champion for AS LXI!

What is an Aquaterra Champion?

An Aquaterra Champion is a person who has bested their opponents in the Championship match of their choosing. They receive the regalia of their station to wear with honor and write their name on its list of Champions. Their Champion’s title is also written into the An Tir’s Order of Precedence.

What does an Aquaterra Champion do for the year?

An Aquaterra Champion helps represent the Barony with their marital prowess, honors and defends the Barony in times of need and stands with the Baron and Baroness in court while at an event.

What sort of requirements does being an Aquaterra Champion have?

Not many. An Aquaterra Champion is asked to maintain their SCA membership for the duration of their time as Champion. It is also asked that an Aquaterra Champion be in attendance to at least two of the five Aquaterra events for the year. Lastly, wear your regalia with pride until the time comes for it to be passed down the next Champion.

What do I need to do to enter an Aquaterra Championship?

Before the date of the event, it is strongly encouraged to send their Excellencies a message you intend to compete at the event. It is asked that you please declare your desire to enter the Tournament at opening court with a letter (or object) of intent.
