Hello All!

Wonderful opportunity to gain experience in the Middle East working on a Hamadryas Baboon Project! Please share.

6-month volunteer position in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Late May-August

You provide airfare to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We provide accommodation, food, and transportation while in-country. You’ll work in 9 regions in Western KSA where baboons live and also in Riyadh where our consulting firm is located.

Duties:

• Conduct baboon, botanical, & faunal surveys

• Assist vets with baboon capture and collection of biological specimens

• Maintain camera traps & photo library

• Data entry

• Literature review

• Data Analysis

• Report writing

• Give presentations

  Requirements:
  Bachelor’s degree in the sciences (e.g., biology, wildlife conservation, animal behavior, ecology, statistics, ecological modeling).
  Must have covid vaccines, be in excellent health and physically fit, and be able to work in hot weather.
