POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Bliss-Moreau Laboratory in Neuroscience and Behavior Research Unit at the California National Primate Research Center (CNPRC) of UC Davis is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our team to work on our womb-to-tomb neuroanatomy projects evaluating structural variation and plasticity of the “affective brain” across the lifespan with particular expertise in MRI neuroimaging techniques.
The laboratory is led by Dr. Eliza Bliss-Moreau, core scientist in Neuroscience and Behavior at the CNPRC and a faculty member in the UC Davis Department of Psychology. The postdoctoral position will be located in Davis, CA.
Successful execution of this project will involve carrying out neuroimaging of monkeys, analysis of structural and resting state MRI data, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to and be involved in all aspects of the research process, including the development of new directions for the research study design, protocol development, data collection, data processing, data analysis, as well as writing and publishing research reports and reviews. An important aspect of this position will be project management and coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications (Required at time of application)
The position requires a Ph.D. in neuroscience, psychology, biology, behavioral neuroscience, anthropology, or a related discipline. Expertise in neuroimaging, and in particular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and analyses of both structural and resting state (BOLD) data is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational skills are required. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team.
