Candidates must have: 1) completed a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in a discipline appropriate to the biological sciences; 2) demonstrated research experience using integrated approaches, with peer-reviewed publications; 3) evidence of a commitment to student learning at the undergraduate and graduate levels; 4) potential to initiate and develop an externally funded research program; 5) effective oral and written communication skills, and 6) the ability to interact and collaborate effectively with diverse colleagues and students.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated ability in: custom bioinformatics for shotgun metagenomic sequencing data; 2) complex, multivariate statistics/modeling, 3) obtaining extramural funding, and 4) promoting the success of students.
