Wild Futures is seeking a
dynamic individual for the unique role of Director of Operations to join our
team in Cornwall, UK.
This position will oversee a small sanctuary team including the Site Manager, Supporter Relations and Office Manager, Primate Care Team Manager and will report to the Board of Trustees.
The Director of Operations will be instrumental, in conjunction with the Trustees, in formulating and implementing the strategic plan for Wild Futures. Accountable for the leadership, organisation administration including resources and financial management required to deliver the plan.
They will be a lead member of the Finance Group and will act as the main point of communication between the trustees, the employees and the public.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a commitment to the mission and vision of Wild Futures. They will need to be motivational, positive and drive delivery of strategic and operational goals.
Salary: from £30,000 dependent on experience
Requirements
ESSENTIAL
At least undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline.
Leadership experience
Experience of managing people and resources
Passion for animal welfare and conservation
DESIRABLE
Experience managing animal sanctuary or similar organisation
Primate experience with a good working primate knowledge
Experience working in tourism sector
Post graduate qualifications in primatology
Managing finances
Appointment is full-time, five (5) days a week with some weekend work applicable and will primarily be based at the Wild Futures Sanctuary.
