Eligibility for Foreign Institutions is clarified below for RFA-AG-24-019: R01 Research Projects and  RFA-AG-24-020: R61/R33 Networking and Infrastructure Project.

FOREIGN INSTITUTIONS

RFA-AG-24-019: R01 Research Projects
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.

RFA-AG-24-020: R61/R33 Networking and Infrastructure Project
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are NOT eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statementare allowed.

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) has issued two companion RFAs for: 1) R01 Research Projects and 2) a single R61/R33 Networking and Infrastructure Project, for research focused on determinants of differences among human and nonhuman primate species in life spans, life histories, and other aging-related outcomes. The application due date for both RFAs is on September 27, 2023.
