I tried installing the latest version 25.11.0
https://htcss-downloads.chtc.wisc.edu/tarball/current/current/condor-Windows-x64.msi

The installation is not possible because of an error in the installer:
Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action MakeAdminToken, location: C:\condor\bin\win_install_helper.exe, command: -config "C:\condor\condor_config" -log "C:\condor\admintoken.log" -sid ..... -key LOCAL -token "C:\condor\tokens.d\admin"

It looks like some dlls are linked against the debug version of the C++ runtime instead of the release causing the crash on systems without Visual Studio installed.

I went back to the LTS release for now which works for me.

Best regards
Tobi

Hello Tobias,

We have fixed this issue currently in our development version. HTCondor 25.12 is expected to be released mid July.
