HTCondor 25.11.0 installer fails on Windows 11 24H2

Hi,

I am updating some of our Windows 11 24H2 execution nodes from HTCondor 24 to HTCondor 25.

I've got the release MSI file from https://htcss-downloads.chtc.wisc.edu/tarball/current/25.11.0/release/

However, when running it, setup fails near the end of the installation with:

> There was a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

Please find attached the logs obtained by running msiexec /log <log file> /i <MSI file>

I could restore a working HTCondor 24 from the previous 24.8.1 MSI file I got a couple of years ago.

I figured out that 2 debug runtime dlls are necessary. These are not part of the VC Redists. As long as HTCondor team does not fix it, they must be copied manually to the WIndows/System32 directory:  vcruntime140d.dll and ucrtbased.dll

After copying these files and restarting the installer it worked out.

Hello Fabrice,

We inadvertently linked against debug libraries when when we updated the kerberos library in version 25.8.2.

We have corrected the problem in the latest release: HTCondor 25.12.2.

So, you should have no problem with this release.
