Hi all,

Euler will be applying updates and security patches starting next Monday, February 5th. Seeing as these updates should be mostly security and bugfix patches, we don't anticipate any significant compatibility issues. Several (non-GPU) nodes are available for users to test that their build scripts and other code will work in advance of the full deployment of the updates.

Add the following line to your Slurm batch script to select for nodes that have already been updated:
#SBATCH --constraint=euler-updates

As has been done in the past, the updates will be applied in rolling restarts of the compute nodes only after running jobs have finished, with the login nodes updated separately. The login nodes will receive the updates on Monday, February 12th at 12:00 pm (noon) along with the load balancing changes announced in the last message to this list.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to euler-...@engr.wisc.edu for further assistance.

Regards,
Colin Vanden Heuvel
