Subject: Please Post?

Good morning Michael,

I’m reaching out in hopes that you can assist me with posting open energy positions with the Minnesota Department of Commerce’s Energy Regulation Planning Unit. As an alum of UW-Madison, I know the caliber of students that graduate from UW’s programs and would encourage recent graduates (or soon to graduate) to apply for energy related jobs in Minnesota.

The State Energy Office is housed within the Commerce Department along with the Environmental Review Group. While the classification of the position is financial in nature, I am looking for applicants that are familiar with current energy issues and policy. It’s a quirk of the state classification system for the position to focus on rates, when the position requires solid analytical and writing skills and familiarity with decarbonizing energy systems.

The job posting can be found here (Job ID: 71266). Please let me if there are others I should contact to distribute/post this position. If there is interest in posting other positions, I would be happy to send them your way.

Let me know if you have questions and many thanks for distributing!

JM
