š MEET COHORT 5 OF THE C2V INITIATIVE IN BOSTON ON 12/04
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
We recently
announced 10 startups selectedĀ to join Year 5 of the C2V Initiative program. These companies represent a wide range of carbontech solutions, from point-source and direct air capture to carbon conversion into
high-value products such as fuels, chemicals, and materials:
-
ArbonĀ (Brooklyn,
N.Y., U.S.) develops a humidity-swing carbon-capture solution, capturing COā from the air or point-source without heat or pressure.
-
Cella
Mineral StorageĀ (New York, N.Y., U.S.) develops a subsurface-mineralization technology with integrated software, enabling new ways to sequester COā underground.
-
ICODOSĀ (Mannheim,
Germany) transforms emissions into value through a point-source carbon capture and methanol synthesis process in a single, modularized system.
-
Lite-1Ā (Vancouver,
B.C., Canada) uses advanced biomanufacturing processes to produce circular colourants for use in food, cosmetics, and textiles.
-
Mission
Zero TechnologiesĀ (London, U.K.) has developed and internationally deployed an electrified, direct-air carbon capture solution that employs both liquid-adsorption and electrochemical technologies.
-
Octavia
CarbonĀ (Nairobi, Kenya) develops a solid-adsorption-based, direct-air carbon capture solution that utilizes geothermal heat.
-
RushnuĀ (Pleasanton,
Calif., U.S.) integrates point-source carbon capture with chemical production, turning salt and COā into chlorine-based chemicals and minerals.
-
Sora
FuelĀ (Cambridge, Mass., U.S.) integrates direct-air capture with direct conversion of the captured carbon into syngas for production of sustainable aviation fuel.
-
Turnover
LabsĀ (Brooklyn, N.Y., U.S.) develops modular electrolyzers that transform raw, industrial COā emissions into chemical building blocks, without capture or purification.
-
Universal
MatterĀ (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) develops a Flash Joule Heating process that converts carbon waste such as end-of-life plastics, tires, or industrial waste into graphene.
You are invited to meet them in person at Greentown Labs Boston on December 4th from 5:30 - 8pm.Ā Attendees will also have the opportunity
to engage with members of our team and C2Vās Carbontech
Leadership Council, which includes leaders from Carbon180, Caterpillar Inc., COā Value Europe, Energy Impact Partners, Evonik, Fluor, Johnson Matthey, LāOrĆ©al, Shell, TotalEnergies, Veolia, W. L. Gore & Associates,

Climate Is the New Economy: Unlocking the Future of Community Energy
Last week, we explored some of the most pressing questions shaping the future of community energy focusing on evolving financial and policy landscapes, benefits
of community-led projects, whatās needed over 12 months to accelerate equitable, scalable systems, and cross-sector collaboration.
What made this session truly special was that it was more than a panel, it was a working room.
Through roundtable discussions aligned with each panelistās challenge area, attendees exchanged real-world experiences, surfaced barriers and opportunities,
and began building new pathways for community-driven models that can scale in 2026 and beyond.
