The WEPA (Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act) Coordinator requires a high level of professional expertise to analyze complex utility proposals for construction projects related to energy generation, water and natural gas pipelines and associated infrastructure, and electric infrastructure such as substations and transmission lines, and to develop policy recommendations. The position analyzes the environmental impacts of complex utility proposals, often associated with Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) dockets, that are often controversial and determines the need for further environmental review. This role serves as the lead expert responsible for evaluating regulatory actions to identify key socio-economic and environmental issues for analysis and review.
